Ever Wondered Why Obama Calls ISIS by the name ISIL?

If you have been following the news on the Middle East as I have, I am sure that you have noticed that while the world calls the terrorist group ISIS (Islamic State in Iraq and Syria), the President of the United States refers to them by the name ISIL (Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant). Well, we can understand the Iraq part of the name ISIL, but what does the word Levant mean? The Levant  is actually a large region which includes Syria, Lebanon, Turkey, Jordan, the Palestinian territories and the island of Cyprus. As Lisa Haven correctly points out in the video above – take a look at the country, in the map below, that seems to be at the very center of the Levant, Israel, yes Israel seems to be surrounded by her enemies.

Obama’s use of ISIL only hints to the world the immense severity of the problem! We are living in the Last Days! Israel is right now surrounded by enemies, exactly as Jesus prophesied:

Luke 19:43
For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,

I believe that what we may be witnessing the very same battle or the prelude of the battle described in Revelation 12, and I will explain why, take a look at the following verses:

Revelation 12:15, 16
And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.
And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.

Who is this serpent or dragon? Well Revelation 12:9 conveniently defines it as being none other than Satan himself. Who is this woman? While the book of Revelation maybe confusing, I believe that the Bible defines itself and it seems that this woman is Israel as Amos 5:2, Jeremiah 18:13 and Jeremiah 31:4 seem to suggest. What is the “flood” coming from his mouth? The Bible tells us that the flood refers to an invasion by the enemies of Israel (Isaiah 59:19; 2 Samuel 5:20; Isaiah 8:7, 8) and that water oftentimes represent people and nations according to the Bible (Revelation 17:15; 2 Samuel 22:17; Psalms 69:1-4). I personally believe that Allah is not the same as the God of the Bible, that Satan has presented himself as Allah in the Qur’an, and that his faithful servants are the Islamic terrorists surrounding Israel as a “flood” coming to drown her. But look at what Revelation 12:16 says, it tells us that Israel, the “woman” will be saved by the “earth” who opens up her mouth to swallow the “flood.” Will this 10 nation coalition protect Israel? Only time will tell, but the flood-earth imagery is quite telling as in the natural, a flood develops rapidly in a region and is later “swallowed up” by that same region, so it should be no surprise to us that the same Islamic terrorists will be swallowed up by the very nations they came from. Even if this interpretation is misplaced, I find it interesting that it seems to fit and if it does not fit then the present conflict may seem to just be a “rehearsal” by Satan, after all, history tends to repeats itself (Ecclesiastes 1:9). In any case, what we do know for a fact is that Israel will eventually be completely abandoned and God will personally save Israel and will ultimately be glorified through it all:

Isaiah 59:19, 20
So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.
And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD.

As the Prophet Isaiah has revealed, it is in this dark moment for Israel that the Redeemer shall come. We all need to get ready because Jesus is returning very soon! Maybe sooner than we think.

The Mark of The Beast and In The Name of Allah with Chuck Missler

In the video above, Dr. Chuck Missler, a well respected Bible teacher, explains the idea that the title Bis’m Allah or Bismillah on the Shahadatan (band on Muslims foreheads) may actually be the Mark of the Beast as described in Revelation 13. This theory is not new, in fact, quite a number of Bible scholars have risen up like Walid Shoebat and Joel Richardson, who insist that the Islamic religion may have a strong role to play in the End Times. Especially, with the prophecies of the Mahdi or 12th Imam. The Bible says that the Antichrist will behead anyone who refuses to take his mark as hinted to below:

Revelation 20:4
And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgement was given unto them: and I saw souls of them that were beheaded for witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshiped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

mark of the beast bismillah
It’s interesting to note that that the signature punishment for infidels (non-Muslims) according to Islamic Sharia law is beheading, which is based on the following Surah (or Chapter) of the Koran:

Surah 47:4
So when you meet those who disbelieve [in battle], strike [their] necks until, when you have inflicted slaughter upon them, then secure their bonds, and either [confer] favor afterwards or ransom [them] until the war lays down its burdens. That [is the command]. And if Allah had willed, He could have taken vengeance upon them [Himself], but [He ordered armed struggle] to test some of you by means of others. And those who are killed in the cause of Allah – never will He waste their deeds.

Sharia law also denies citizenship to anyone who is non-Muslim and establishes limits on the buying and selling of goods. These all seem to be consistent with the description of the End Time scenario as outlined by the Book of Revelation in the Bible (Revelation 13:16, 17).

Personally, I think Islam may indeed have a role but it may only be just one possible avenue for the Antichrist to rise from. In Revelation 12:3, there is a description of Satan with 7 heads and crowns on each head, symbols which makes him eerily similar to the Hindu depiction of Shesha, the king of the nagas (snake deities):

Revelation 12:3
And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.

A picture of Shesha and the second person of the Trimurti (Hinduism’s equivalent to the Trinity), Vishnu, is shown in the picture below:

Vishunu ISCON

Shesha, who is often depicted as a seven headed serpent with seven crowns, is famous in Hinduism for his role in an event called the “Churning of the Ocean” where the participants try to make themselves immortal. The very same idea that Satan presented in the garden of Eden: “Ye shall not surely die” and “Ye shall be as gods”. Another thing to note is that Vishnu, who is in every way another Christ (Antichrist), is often shown sitting relaxed on Shesha, as one who has received authority – in Revelation we know that the Antichrist will be given power from the dragon (Revelation 13:1-8).

My point is that Satan has been preparing himself, planting himself and several Antichrist figures in the false religions as suggested by 1st John 4:3:

1 John 4:3
And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

The Bible teaches that the only time the world will know the true Antichrist will be when God removes the “He (Holy Spirit) who restrains” as described in 2nd Thessalonians 2:6-7. I think it is reasonable to say that the restrainer is indeed the Holy Spirit, as the scriptures describes the Antichrist as the ‘man of iniquity’ or ‘man of sin’ (2 Thessalonians 2:3), only the Holy Spirit has power over sin (Galatians 5:17–18), in fact, 2 Thessalonians 3:2, 3 confirms that it is indeed God who does the restraining:

2 Thessalonians 2:6-7
And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he (Antichrist) will be revealed.
For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he (Holy Spirit) who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way.

2 Thessalonians 3:2, 3
And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.
But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.

In the same picture chosen above for “Bismillah” we see the image of a “serpent” which Chuck Missler highlights in the video. In the same image we see what also appears to be a “pole” or “post.” You may ask, “What is my point for highlighting this to you?” Well Islam teaches that Jesus Christ never died. Jesus Himself says:
Brass Serpent on Cross

John 3:14
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up.

Jesus of course refers to the brass serpent raised on a pole by Moses in Numbers 21:9. I find it amazing that the “serpent” of this rendition of Bismillah is off the “pole” almost as if to mock it. Accident? Coincidence? I am not sure, but I will tell you that anyone who studies linguistics will know that languages in their basic and original forms were represented by images. It could therefore be considered that “Bismillah” at it heart truly denies the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross, just as Islam claims that Jesus did not died on the cross (Surah 4:156-158).
